PulPac has expanded its capabilities by parterining with machine builder Curt G. Joa, Inc. (JOA) to meet North America’s huge and rapidly growing demand for sustainable packaging. JOA, a leading expert in engineering and custom machine manufacturing for the disposable hygiene market for almost a century, will provide the Dry Molded Fiber production platform “PulPac Modula” specialized to the U.S. market. ”We are very excited to welcome JOA as a turnkey partner to the Dry Molded Fiber network. They are a highly skilled partner with a strong market presence and extensive knowledge and background in building and supplying turnkey machines for fiber conversion in the hygiene industry. JOA will join us at our booth at Interpack. We are very much looking forward to introducing them to our customers and starting to deliver the PulPac Modula to licensees in North America together with them,” says Viktor Börjesson, Chief Partnership Officer at PulPac. “In PulPac and Dry Molded Fiber, we see enormous potential to bring sustainable packaging to the North American market. This is a true breakthrough technology. We look forward to applying our engineering excellence and industrial expertise to develop complete machine platforms for our joint customers,” comments Ryan Brown, Business Development Manager at JOA.
Dry Molded Fiber, invented and patented by PulPac, is a fiber-forming technology available to converters, brand owners and partners to help create a new and competitive standard in sustainable packaging. Besides unmatched sustainability features, the unique fiber-forming technology offers unit economics competitive enough to make a viable shift from single-use plastics to fiber-based alternatives. With a licensing business model, PulPac is scaling the supply chain, a global network of partners supporting licensees in transitioning to Dry Molded Fiber.
